ALDRIDGE TO INTRODUCE A TRI-ANNIVERSARY 18-MONTH CALENDAR AT WINTER NAMM –ANAHEIM, CA. JANUARY 23 – 26, 2014

You have seen his art. You know his logos: Hard Rock, Apple (the record label), House of Blues. He is the man responsible for The Beatles Illustrated Lyric book. He worked closely with John Lennon and Paul McCartney and was friends with Jimi Hendrix. You ask who is Alan Aldridge. Meet Alan Aldridge. Until now, he has never featured hisBeatle lyric art” on a calendar. To introduce the prototype 18-month calendar, Alan will be attending the National Association of Music Manufacturers (NAMM) confab January 23 – 25, 2014 (Anaheim, CA.).

Alan will be the special guest of Flying Mo-jo pickups and Reviver Records’ booth #2393 where Alan will autograph a newly created, one-of-a-kind promotion poster. The Alan Aldridge-designed poster will help promote a forthcoming June 2014 release of an 18 month calendar. It will feature his widely-known, never duplicated and legendary Beatles lyric art (culled from his best-selling 1969 The Beatles Illustrated Lyric book). Alan’s Beatles lyric art in calendar form will give his characterizations to varied Beatles songs a “new configuration”. At age 73, Alan felt an 18 month 2014-15 calendar was a visually presentable and timely way to further share his name and art with music lovers worldwide.

As an added edition, a varied artist 45 rpm commemorative EP CD, produced by Robert Johnson, will be “a prized Jack-in-the-Box” in the calendar package. New Jersey-based Reviver Records will produce the calendar. A portion of the calendar’s proceeds will benefit the Chandler, AZ.-based The Women And Cancer Fund, established in the memory of Linda McCartney (thewomenandcancerfund.org), which is in synch with Reviver Records credo of “music that gives back”. Songs and artists participating on the “45 rpm EP CD” will be announced in mid-January or early February.

The calendar will obviously represent and display more than Alan’s iconic Beatles lyric art. It will also celebrate three distinct music-themed anniversaries:

the 45th anniversary of The Beatles Illustrated Lyric book

the 65th anniversary of the 45 rpm single

the 50th anniversary of The Beatles coming to America and the British Invasion

John Lennon is quoted in the The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics book saying, “(Alan) – The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes is the Royal Master of Images to their Majesties – The Beatles.”

David Ross, CEO/President of Reviver Records said, “Reviver is proud to partner with Robert Johnson and Flying Mojo on this ground-breaking project – Alan Aldridge’s acclaimed art. I been a long-time admirer of Alan’s creations and I can’t wait to meet him at NAMM to thank him for this one-of-kind opportunity.  Reviver also intends to include Sony-RED in our plans to distribute the calendar to their brick-and-mortar retail outlets. No one does that better than Sony-RED and the previous Reviver album releases’ distribution is solid evidence of that.”

Robert Johnson, Flying Mo-jo President said, “I have been working with Alan for years now and we wanted to partner with a music company that had charity association and distribution ability. Reviver Records and their affiliation with The Women And Cancer Fund and Sony-RED fit into our game plan perfectly. That being said, this whole calendar campaign would not be unique, humdrum even, without Alan Aldridge’s Beatle lyric art. I see us as a team with a message: we’re bringing Alan’s iconic Beatle lyric art month-by-month to the world in 2014.”
